so I'd also appreciate if anyone can confirm if they're gone or not? I'm so stressed out about it. The file names are still there but the sai icon on is gone and I'm not sure if they erased or not because I need to buy it to attempt opening them anyway. I saved it as PSD file so if it happened again I still can open it in. But I downloaded PaintTool SAI 1.0.1 (A different version or older) then it opened. I was using the latest version of Paint tool sai. I had a bad feeling about it but I did it anyway and I think it got rid of all my sai paintings I made during the trial. I know this post is old but for some people having the same problem, this is how I opened my files. Version two should have a recover file option, but with sai 1 it sometimes makes temporary files. When I tried uninstall through the folder, it said it would only delete shortcuts and file associations. If you want to play around with their drawing tools and palettes, SAI is a good option.

There is absolutely no way to uninstall this program. SAI puts the brush in the artist’s hands and gives them more control over their creations.
File or Archive -> preferences -> File -> Restoration -> activate the restoration of the canvas. Ive noticed my file size in Paint tool sai keeps getting larger and larger, without much regard to the canvas size. I want to reinstall it into the right location. So I was being careless and installed Paint Tool Sai into Temporary Internet Files instead of changing the file location to Program Files.
